This is the page
we did for our trip to Alaska a couple of years ago. We were able to get
a great price for everyone and had a wonderful time. We can plan
a group trip for you, your family, & friends. And we can
do a web page like this one for you to help you sell it. It was
amazing how convenient it made it to get information to people.
Contact
me so we can discuss
it.

Come Join Us for a
Alaska Cruise
July 21-28, 2001
50% off brochure price!
|
- We have been able to arrange a cruise
to Alaska on July 21 through 28, 2001 at 50% off the published fare! While
no one who books through a travel agent ever pays the fares published
in the brochures, the discounts are generally 1/4 off or possibly
1/3 off. Half price, while there are still cabins available in
all price ranges, this far in advance is an amazing deal.
- This cruise sails from and returns to
Vancouver aboard the Holland
America ship ms.
Zaandam. (If you would rather take a cruise/tour I can also
book you on that.) But if you don't have the time, or the inclination,
to take a land tour in Alaska this is the cruise for you. I have
now managed to arrange a land/cruise
package which meets the cruise for those who want to do that.
Check with me. (We are going on the "cruise only" portion
of this one.) This will be our third Alaska cruise on Holland
America.
- For shore
excursion descriptions and prices just follow the directions
on the linked page. Any other questions you may have are probably
answered on the site
index.
- Check out the State
of Alaska's website. Current Weather in Alaska
and Vancouver.

Cruising
the Inside Passage2001 Glacier Bay Inside
Passage Cruises
- This extraordinary
cruise embraces two of the world's most spectacular travel experiences:
the thousand-mile Inside Passage, and awesome Glacier Bay, plus
three of Alaska's most delightful ports.
- Begin
at Vancouver, B.C.
Few cities
combine such cosmopolitan charm with so much natural beauty.
Enjoy it before or after your cruise. Visit the forests, beaches
and meadows of Stanley Park. Sample ethnic cuisines, shop on
chic Robson Street, take in the exotic sights and sounds of Chinatown.
Sail through the Lion's Gate, more spectacular than San Francisco's
Golden Gate.Juneau, Your First
Port
Juneau had
its own Gold Rush and the city is full of reminders, from the
Red Dog Saloon to the sculpture of toiling hard-rock miners on
the waterfront. You could go sea-kayaking, cruise to see wildlife,
go fishing or tour to nearby Mendenhall Glacier.
- Skagway, Gold Rush
Gateway
the Gold Rush to the Klondike was in full swing and Skagway saw
it all. Stroll the same boardwalks, browse the wares in false-fronted
shops. Opt for a ride in a vintage parlor railcar up the historic
White Pass & Yukon Route, see traces of the prospectors'
rugged trail.
- Your
Day In Glacier
Bay
Cruising these quiet waters,
you'll imagine the mountains, forests and awesome rivers of ice
are frozen in time. But this landscape is very much alive. Watch
for seals, whales, gaudily-costumed tufted puffins, perhaps a
black bear. When your ship pauses at the face of a glacier, you
gaze enthralled, as a pinnacle of ice splinters off and crashes
into the bay.
On
To Ketchikan
This picturesque port
has a waterfront built on stilts, and weathered stairways climb
its hills. Learn about Alaska's rich native history at the Totem
Heritage Cultural Center. Go flightseeing or fishing, or stroll
the Creek Street boardwalk. Once, this was where the town's madams
held forth; today it is lined with intriguing boutiques.
- Inside Passage
Homeward bound, relax
aboard your floating resort. One more chance to snap photos,
to reflect on your memories and to exchange addresses with newfound
friends.
